This notice explains the product data Green Flags is designed to collect, why it is used, and the controls members receive.

Information you provide

Account identifiers, date of birth, gender and dating preferences, height and optional weight, ZIP code, general area, device location when you allow it, profile details, interests, messages, reactions, blocks, reports, verification status, subscription status, and referral codes or attribution when you use an invite link.

Location and local discovery

Your ZIP code and exact device coordinates are private and are used to calculate compatible profiles within your chosen distance. Other members receive only your general area and approximate miles away. Optional location refresh runs only while Green Flags is open and your browser grants permission; Green Flags does not perform background location tracking.

How it is used

To authenticate accounts, enforce 18+ access, operate compatible local discovery and matching, deliver messages, apply free limits and earned referral credits, provide paid features, prevent duplicate or abusive referrals, support moderation, and meet legal obligations.

Service providers

Green Flags uses Firebase and Supabase for account and app services. Stripe processes subscription checkout, payment details, receipts, renewals, billing management, and earned referral credits; Green Flags stores Stripe customer, subscription, and credit references but does not receive full card numbers.

Your controls

You can change your discovery radius, turn off location refresh, pause profile visibility, update profile information, manage or cancel a subscription through Stripe, block or report members, and submit an in-app deletion request. Sensitive authorization data is not stored in editable profile fields.

Security and retention

Row-level database rules restrict member records. Data is retained only as needed for the service, safety, referral accounting, dispute prevention, and applicable legal requirements; no system can guarantee absolute security.
